My Idol (Illustration)

Many people have their own idols that make them inspired. For example, my idol is Taylor Swift. I was inspired when I heard her beautiful songs. It talked about teenage life about loving someone or losing your love one. Through her songs, I related it to my life. It seems like she was advised me through her compositions that this is life and she also experiencing what you experienced. Another instance of making me inspired to her is when I heard her song “Mean”. It gave me strength to fight for those who hurt me. If you don’t know, I was bullied when I was in Grade 6. Then, when I heard that song, there’s something entered to my mind and sing these phrase of the song, “Someday I’ll be big enough so you can’t hit and all your ever gonna be is mean.” Another example that she makes me inspired is when she broke up with her ex but she didn't look down instead she was inspired to write a song and after that she won some awards. My idol gave me a lesson to my life to never give up and when you failed, try it again until you success. That’s makes me inspired.

Taylor Swift and Rhian Ramos (Analogy)

Some people compared Taylor Swift to Rhian Ramos. Let’s find out why. They are both British girl. Taylor is from Pennsylvania while Rhian is from a part of UK which is equally in Britain. They are both actress. Taylor proves that she is a good actress when she acts in CSI. Rhian is known for being excellent artist here in the Philippines, performing in GMA Network like Indio. They are look alike. If you try to look longer between them, you will see that they have same looks. Even in their postures, have the same. They are both tall and have fairer skin. 

Taylor Swift’s Albums (Classification)

Taylor Swift has 4 albums, her self-titled album, Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, and Red.

Her first album, Taylor Swift, is composed of country songs. The main instrument she used is an acoustic guitar. Example of this is Teardrops On My Guitar. 

Fearless is her second album that composed of mix country and pop music. She used some electronic guitars and drums but country music is still the majority. Examples are Love Story and You Belong With Me. 

Speak Now, the most popular album of hers. It is the best selling album than her other albums. It contains country and sort of pop music. It also contains some rock music. Mostly of her songs here are based in fantasy or imaginary. Examples are Sparks Fly and Mine. 

Red is her current album. Here, pop music is the mainstream. In this album, she is now realistic than her previous albums which is full of fancy things. Example of her songs here are We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble.

Swiftie (Definition)

Swiftie (noun) is a name given to fans of the country-pop music singer, Taylor Swift. It comes from her surname ‘Swift’ and added by a suffix ‘-ie’. A true Swiftie supports Taylor in every way, her music, her stage performances, her lyrics, her life, her personality, and her choices. For example, when Taylor Swift published an album, a fragrance, or concert, you will distinguish a person if she is a true Swiftie when you notice him/her that he/she buys it all or you saw him/her that he/she wants to have it. A Swiftie can be called a Taylor Swift addict because he/she was too obsessed with Taylor. He/She wants to hear Taylor’s song or to see Taylor’s photos every day. A Swiftie really loves Taylor even there are flaws with her. Swiftie is the best fan base in the world. Taylor is so lucky to have those great fans.

How to Look Like Taylor Swift? (Exposition)

     Do you want to look like Taylor Swift? I teach you how. Let’s start with the hair. First, color it ash blond base with lighter highlights through the ends around the top. Curl it but not too curly. Just make it looks spiral or round. 

Second, put a light make-up to your face and red lipstick. It’s better to consult your beautician and ask him/her for the best makeup to look like Taylor Swift.  

Then, let’s proceed to clothes. Taylor are so simple when comes to clothes. She wears dress. It’s better when you wear violet or white dress because those are the trademark of Taylor’s fashion and those are her favorite color. 

Next, wear sandal. Not too high heels, just simple like 2 or 3 inches high. Be sure that it looks compatible with your outfit. 

Finally, wear accessories. Taylor is not really wearing too much accessories. Wear diamond earrings or silver necklace. You can search other accessories that will match to your outfit. That’s all. You can now look like a Grammy award winner, Taylor Swift.

The Beginning of My Addiction with Taylor Swift (Narrative)

     When I was elementary pupil, I think Grade 5 or Grade 6, I heard about Taylor Swift. That was the time when Taylor published her song, Love Story. But that time, I was not yet interested to her. 

When I became high school student, I found myself singing her song. That is the start. The reason is my classmates. I heard them singing Love Story and You Belong With Me. I noticed that it sound good. I thought I was LSS (Last Song Syndrome) with those songs. 

Then, when I turned 4^th Year HS that was the time that I would say I’m a certified Swiftie. I was so addicted with her. I researched about her, knew about her, listened to all of her songs, and everything about Tay-tay. It started since I heard my classmates singing her songs. In that time, Taylor published her album “Speak Now”. I would say that it was a great album because all of her compositions there was totally awesome. Until now, I still listen to that. The ‘Taylor Swift craze’ with me was added when I turned college, this present time. Most of my classmates love Taylor. I’m glad to know that. They played her songs in our classroom and they sung. I would say that I was lucky, that I knew Taylor Swift because it makes me good and inspired everyday through her songs.

That’s Taylor Swift (Descriptive)

     

     Taylor Swift is a British girl with a corn-like, curly hair, but now, it’s straight. She is a tall girl. I think she is 5’8”. She wears elegant and fashionable clothes. She prefers to wear loose dress that t-shirts and jeans. Because she’s a country-pop music singer, her voice is absolutely great and beautiful. According to her friends, Taylor smells good, maybe, because she has her own perfume like Wonderstruck and her self-titled perfume. Those are my description about Taylor Swift. Also, those are things why I love her.
